Clubs & Groups

The resident-run clubs and groups are a great way for residents with similar interests to enjoy activities and hobbies together. The Overlook Clubhouse and the Sterling Center are great facilities that offer many opportunities for gatherings of different types.

If you are interested in starting a club or have already started a club, contact the Lifestyle Director for more information.

Current Clubs & Groups

Boomer Bunco Club

Boomer Bunco is a group of fun-loving empty nesters, nearly or already retired women eager to meet new neighbors. Meeting once a month on the 1st Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Overlook Clubhouse.

Bunco is a game generally played with players divided into groups of four, trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice in a series of six rounds. A Bunco is achieved when a person rolls three-of-a-kind and all three numbers match the round number. It’s a social game that requires only luck to win. No strategy and no talent are needed.

Contact resident Ilene Shulman at igshulman1@gmail.com or 303-910-0400 or Marcia at 505.-670-2753 if you would like to join.

Running Club

Join fellow runners 2x a week of runs around the neighborhood or Highline Canal trail during the winter. Once there are extended sunlight hours, the club will likely have one run a week at Waterton Canyon. Please bring a headlamp to see any obstacles in the neighborhood. All levels are welcomed and happy to pair up with abilities. Run distance and challenge will vary on the preference of the group. Can do relays, hill repeats, or just straight runs.
